Jazz innovator, saxophonist and bandleader Idris Ackamoor returns to Europe in autumn 2026 with his legendary ensemble THE PYRAMIDS. The tour includes performances at JAZZMI Festival in Milan on 29 October, Locomotiv Club in Bologna on 30 October and The Jazz Café in London on 4 November.

Ackamoor’s distinctive sound combines spiritual jazz, Afrobeat, funk and Afrofuturism. Founded in 1972 following a musical journey through Europe and Africa, THE PYRAMIDS have built a lasting legacy at the intersection of jazz and global music.

The band will perform music from its acclaimed STRUT Records releases, including ARTISTIC BEING (2025), AFRO FUTURISTIC DREAMS (2023) and SHAMAN! (2020).
