Roland Appel

Roland Appel is a German DJ and musician.

In 1995 Appel founded the band Fauna Flash together with Christian Prommer. The debut single Butterfly Catcher was released the same year on Compost Records. The debut album Aquarius followed in 1997. Also in 1997, Appel and Prommer founded the music project Trüby Trio together with Rainer Trüby. Since 2000, Appel and Prommer have also been producing together with Peter Kruder as Voom:Voom. Since 2007, Appel has released several singles on Sonar Kollektiv, with singer Araba Walton contributing vocals on several occasions. In 2008, Appel's solo debut album Talk To Your Angel appeared. In 2011, he moved to the label Poker Flat Recordings.

He composed the music of the motion picture Romeos, released in 2011. He is resident DJ at Munich's Club Blitz and plays regularly at the Traumfänger Open Air Festival.
