Sebastian Rätzel

Sebastian Raetzel started his professional career in 2008 as the singer of the rock’n roll band "The Baseballs". Supported by their label Warner Music Germany, his band not only became one of the most successful German bands in recent years in no time at all, but also one of the biggest selling German artists abroad.

Their debut album “Strike!” (2009) for example sold more than one million copies worldwide, hit the top of the charts all over Europe and received several Gold and Platinum awards. Thanks to their follow-up records they were able to continue the success. For “Hot Shots” their seventh studio album, "The Baseballs" signed a new deal with Electrola Music (Universal Music Germany).

As a solo artist, Sebastian released his first solo album “Derselbe Himmel” in 2019 with all songs co-written by himself. As a creative, versatile topline writer, he’s written for national and international acts in English as well as in German. He e.g. co-wrote "Nur mit Dir", which was featured as the first single on the 2017 album of Europe’s most successful artist Helene Fischer. The album by now sold more than one million copies and received a Diamond award in Germany and 5 times Platinum in Austria. Sebastian also wrote releases for other artists like Sarah Lombardi, Ina Regen, Vincent Gross.
